Brenda established Forever Yours Events in August 2012. She was able to build this business thanks to the support and encouragement of her family and friends, as well as the raving reviews of previous clients. She has since been known as a perfectionist who works hard and dedicates herself fully in every event.

Inspiration

Ever since Brenda was a little girl, she already had an eye for beauty and details. However, it was her Aunt Bernice, who also planned events and parties for the Austin Woman’s Club, who truly served as her career inspiration.

Educational Background & Work Experience

Brenda’s Certificated Wedding Planner

Brenda was born and raised in Austin, Texas as one of her former co-workers said to her she’s a “historian”. Upon graduation from Austin Community College she earned a certification in Office Administration 2005. Interior Decorating Certificate from Penn Foster Career School 2007, she earned from Penn Foster Career School Wedding Planner Certification 2015.

Over the years she has interned for various local wedding planning and catering companies were she gained knowledge and experience. She recently retired in August 2015 after 30 years of service with the University of Texas in Austin. Now she’s pursuing her dream as a wedding professional. She’s member of Association Bridal Consultants, and the Greater Austin Black Chamber.

Background

When she isn’t planning events, Brenda enjoys bowling, singing, reading or going to the movies with her husband Dodd, Brenda enjoys refurbishing furniture. She is also an active member of the Kingdom of God Christian Center Church, where she volunteers in the Greeters Ministry, Assistant Church decorator and Deacon’s Ministry.
