Inspiration
From a young age, Brenda had a keen eye for beauty and a knack for noticing the little details. However, it was her Aunt Bernice, who expertly organized events and parties for the Austin Woman’s Club, that truly ignited her passion and set her on the path to a fulfilling career.

Educational Background & Work Experience
Brenda’s Certified Wedding Planner
Brenda, a native of Austin, Texas, has always been deeply committed to her career. Her former co-worker once described her as a “historian,” A testament to her dedication. After graduating from Austin Community College in 2005 with a certification in Office Administration, she continued to pursue her passion. In 2007, she earned an Interior Decorating Certificate from Penn Foster Career School, and in 2015, she received a Wedding Planner Certification from the same institution.
With a wealth of experience, Brenda has honed her skills through internships with various local wedding planning and catering companies. Her dedication to her work was further demonstrated during her 30 years of service with the University of Texas in Austin, where she retired in August 2015. Now, as a seasoned professional, she’s pursuing her dream in the wedding and event planning industry. She’s a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and the Greater Austin Black Chamber.
Background
When Brenda isn’t busy orchestrating unforgettable events, she delights in bowling, singing, and relaxing with a good book or an engaging movie alongside her husband, Dodd. Her passion for refurbishing furniture adds a personal touch to their home, with each piece telling a unique story of creativity and care.
Brenda has a love for her two corgis, Kingston Bentley and Brody Max, whom she fondly refers to as her fur babies. She enjoys refurbishing old furniture and painting, and she loves spending time with her lady friends as they explore various restaurants and outings.
In addition to her hobbies, Brenda is a dedicated member of the Kingdom of God Christian Center Church. She joyfully volunteers her time and talents to various ministries, making a meaningful impact in her community.
